At the end of 2023, HM Light, a new music group comprised of Heavenly Melody members Jack Kao, Grace Huang, and James Huang, released their first album, Praise While Waiting. The album consists of ten songs with widely different music styles. The music group hopes to reach young working professionals and university students through their music.
Jack Kao, the album’s producer, explained his hope for this album. “We hope this album can point young people to the importance of faith in their lives when they face struggles and realize their own shortcomings.”
Grace Huang, the female voice of the trio, started learning music at four years old, grew up in the church, and has been on church worship teams since her youth. Following university graduation, she studied music at C3 College in Sydney for two and a half years. Her hope is HM Light will “Can share God’s light and love with this generation and illuminate dark corners that need the Gospel.”
Guitarist and songwriter James Huang studied architecture in university, but decided to enter music ministry following graduation as that was his passion. He says: “We hope to create songs that are relaxing and easy to listen to but clearly show Jesus Christ changes lives. Join us as we go on this creative journey.”
