The Founders   Heavenly Melody’s founder, Doris Brougham, has a love for music that was the driving force behind the beginning of Heavenly Melody. She started the ministry with four men and four women singing four-part harmony. Throughout the years, she has encouraged the Heavenly Melody Singers to write their own songs and compose original music. Her own musical skills are evident as she plays the trumpet and other instruments, such as the French horn, saxophone and recorder. Co-founders, Leland and Dorothy Haggerty, came to Taiwan in 1959. He was in the construction business in Seattle for eleven years before he responded to the call of the Lord to minister through music. They have four children, all of whom are gifted and talented in music. This wonderful family was a great blessing to Heavenly Melody during the early years of its ministry.
