On Christmas Eve, 2024, TVBS, one of Taiwan’s largest TV stations, aired a Christmas Special: Infinite Love, United in Peace. The program broke viewing records as hundreds of thousands of viewers watched the program on TV and online. Heavenly Melody and 50 other artists participated, singing Christmas songs and sharing life testimonies.
Heavenly Melody opened the program by performing a medley of “Silent Night, True Peace”, “Heal the World”, and “Silent Night”. Members from different generations of the choir reunited to sing the Heavenly Melody classic “Flowers of the Field” to honor the late Dr. Doris Brougham and carry on her missionary spirit.
Heavenly Melody, founded over 60 years ago, has toured 38 countries on five continents to share God’s love through music. Over the years, they have experienced some dangerous situations when they traveled.
A choir member shared about Jesus is the true peace in the midst of serious challenges. Many years ago, Heavenly Melody had a 14-day concert tour in Northern Ireland when that area was in serious conflict between the Irish Republican Army and the government of Northern Ireland. Terrorist attacks and armed conflict were real dangers, but the choir chose to stay and finish its tour. Thankfully, the tour ended successfully and many people heard the Gospel.
