Studio Classroom and Heavenly Melody’s popular bilingual character-building school rallies for 2024 have begun. We hold these rallies, which combine songs, skits, and teachers’ life stories, in junior high schools, senior high schools, and colleges around Taiwan. These activities aim to raise students’ confidence in speaking English and build character traits like honesty, courage, and kindness. This year’s theme is “Look Up!” and encourages students to spend less time phubbing and looking down on their phones, and more time with the family and friends in front of them.
Heavenly Melody singer Jack Kao shared his testimony of how he struggled with depression and wanted to end his life several times, but God helped him through the darkest moments. He encouraged the students with: “When you feel lonely and frustrated, remember to look up and ask God to help you get through the difficulty you are facing.”
We are thankful for the opportunity to go into schools and share our values. ORTV Executive Director and Heavenly Melody Director Daniel Hsieh explained, “We hope to be students’ friends for life, and hope every child can become someone who makes a positive impact on the world.”
